Question

Improvement
Once I saw the picture of the guy fish by lake I knew that you live by you near UNT campus. You have a gift for taking pictures. My ex-roommate Jeff Collins is police officer in Denton, TX

Answer That photo was actually White Rock Lake in Dallas, not Denton.

Question

wedding photography business
I want to start a wedding photography business. Which type of camera would you recommend?

- Anthony Hamilton 4/8/2010 3:27:31 PM

Answer Having the latest with the most MP is always a way to impress a customer, but it isn't always necessary. So you shouldn't think that you need the most expensive if you're just starting out.
It would be good to get one that has good image quality in low light for versatility of doing weddings without flash, based on necessity as well as the mood of the pictures it would allow you to get. I'd rather have a full frame camera than one that has the smaller sensor size. You can check out versions of Nikon or Canon that came out last year or have been replaced by an updated version. Each time a new model comes out, the price of the previous one usually drops. So you can get a used or old model that has good picture quality without spending as much, relatively.
But what's more important than camera type is being in tune with the demographic of your potential customers and what they would want and what you can give when compared to other wedding photographers. Print packages, dvd, photo album styled like a book, will they view and order online, editing and turn around time, etc...
